Chris Olander, Guest Poet from Nevada CityJoin dancer and poet, Patricia Bulitt with Very Special Guest Poet, Chris Olander for an evening of “bird poetry.” Chris Olander brings his dynamic ‘bird voices” embedded in skillfull lyricism that is all his to our library. Patricia shared her text written especially for Lake Merritt’s birds. A portion of our evening will be in the construction of a collective poem honoring birds directed by Chris and Patricia. FREEWalk Lake Merritt with Rusty Scalf, Bird Instructor from Albany Adult School as he discusses the particular bird population and identification at our lake joined by “Bird Dancer,” Patricia Bulitt as she improvises dance/ movement on this walking tour to the musical accompaniment of Marina Garza, of the Montclair Women’s Big Band! This program is part of her Migrating Woman With Bird series of dance improvisations. Guest musician will accompany this most unusual duo for a great collaboration to honor birds!
